The Muses

Established 1989 and open year round, The Muses is a guest house located on historical Magazine Street in New Orleans' Lower Garden District, recently rated #1 in a Top 10 of the "hippest neighborhoods" in the US and Canada by Utne Reader.

The streets near by Georgia Ross' art-filled guest house, named after the muses, will delight the visitor. Miles of antique and curiosity shops, art galleries, coffeehouses, boutiques and restaurants surround the home built in 1858.

Only a few blocks away the St. Charles Avenue streetcar takes you to the French Quarter, Warehouse District, Aquarium of the Americas, and Central Business District.

In the opposite direction there are beautiful mansions of the Garden District, Tulane and Loyola Universities, and the famous Audubon Zoo.

It's a short taxi ride to the Crescent City's best music clubs, and all the town offers.
